Not only did Tania and Patrick Foster send over AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service) gift cards to deployed soldiers, but they also did something special for the troops on the homefront. On December 13 and December 14, Dallas is Love participated in two local military Christmas parties where they handed out AAFES gift cards to the soldiers along with a host of other items including Dallas Mavericks tickets, fragrances donated by Macy's, items by Blue Cross Blue Shield and Dallas Cowboy merchandise autographed by former Dallas Cowboy Tony Hill. The troops really appreciated and it was a great way to boost the Christmas spirit.
Also, Dallas is Love recently partnered up with Robbins Bros. Engagement Ring Store. Dallas is Love finds a deployed soldier who intends to marry and Robbins Bros. provides the engagement ring. The first engagement took place on December 7, 2007 in Los Angeles, California where Sergeant Jasmine Chopra proposed to her boyfriend Luis, who also happens to be in the military. Robbins Bro. provided them with two engagement ring, one for her now fiance and herself. They have both returned to their seperate bases in Iraq, Camp Anaconda and Forward Operating Base Kalsu. The next engagement is to be held sometime in mid January.
Dallas is Love has came a long way in 2007 and hopes to go further in 2008. All support is welcome and there can never be enough support for our men and women in the service. Happy New Year.

JANUARY 18, 2008 – DALLAS, TEXAS Senior Airman Robert Blackburn, just back from Iraq, is really flying high. The 22 year old Air Force crew chief came to Dallas from his stateside base in Utah to propose to the love of his life, 22 year old D’ann Campbell. Robert had not seen D’ann in a number of months and he wanted to declare his love for her by asking her to be with him for the rest of their lives. Robert, who is from Rowlett, Texas, had been in contact with Dallas is Love, a 501c-3 non-profit organization, operated by Tania and Patrick Foster. Tania is a college freshman at University of Texas at Dallas and Patrick is a junior at Sachse High School. Dallas is Love supports United States military service members worldwide by raising money to convert into AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service) gift certificates.
D’ann came to the Adolphus Hotel in downtown Dallas with their mutual friend, Amy, thinking she would attend a bachelorette party with her friends. As soon as she entered the hotel, she was escorted by former Dallas Cowboy, tight end Billie Joe Dupree, to the next floor where she found her boyfriend Robert dressed in a tuxedo and holding a small blue box containing a beautiful ring provided by Robbins Bros., World's Biggest Engagement Ring Store. D’ann was under the impression Robert was still in Utah. Robert got down on one knee and completed the mission of a lifetime when he asked D’ann to be his wife. Robert was incredibly anxious throughout the evening, but it all paid off when he was officially engaged to his one true love. Shortly following, Robert and D’ann would share their first meal as an engaged couple at Adolphus’s five-star restaurant, The French Room, and would later stay in one of the hotel’s luxury suites; all provided by Dallas is Love.
